I love July - time to read!

July is becoming my favorite month because I have so much time to read!

I discovered an excellent adult author - Colum McCann.
So far I have read:

I also am reading everything by children's author, Kevin Henkes because he's a keynote at TC for the August Writing Institute! I like how he has lots of videos showing how he works online. I plan to share them with kids come September!   http://www.kevinhenkes.com/

Then today I discovered Carmen Agra Deedy. She is an author and storyteller and will be a keynote at the August Reading Institute. I watched her TED talk and now plan to share it with the 5th and 6th graders to inspire them to write how she tells stories, so many precise details!
